Terms & Conditions

By booking and attending a course with Gels by Fliss Academy, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These are in place to ensure a safe, fair, and professional learning environment for all students.

 

Booking & Deposits

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on a course:

  • £300 deposit for full courses

  • £200 deposit for half-day courses

  • £100 deposit for any add-on courses

 

  • Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

  • Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.

  • Deposits may be transferred to another course date provided a minimum of 28 days’ notice is given before the original course start date.

  • Deposits can only be transferred to the next available course date

  • Deposits may only be transferred once

 

Cancellations & Non-Attendance

If you cancel with less than 7 days’ notice before the course start date, the remaining course balance is still payable in full.​

If the outstanding balance is not cleared, you will:

  • Not be permitted to attend another course

  • Be required to settle the balance before rebooking

  • Potentially be required to pay a new deposit to secure a future course date Failure to attend a course without notice will be treated as a late cancellation.

 

Course Attendance & Participation

  • Full attendance is required to complete the course.

  • Late arrival, early departure, or missed sessions may affect your ability to complete the course content.

  • ​

Students are expected to:

  • Arrive on time

  • Participate fully

  • Follow all health & safety guidance

  • Respect the learning environment

Gels by Fliss Academy reserves the right to refuse or remove a student from the course if behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate.

No refunds will be given in these circumstances.

Course Materials & Intellectual Property

All course content, manuals, handouts, presentations, and teaching materials are the property of Gels by Fliss Academy.

Course materials:

  • Must not be copied, shared, photographed, reproduced, or distributed

  • Are for personal educational use only

  • Must not be used to teach others without written permission

  • Breach of this condition may result in removal from the course and further action where necessary.

  •  

Photography & Media During courses

  • Gels by Fliss Academy may take photographs or videos for marketing, social media, or educational purposes.

  • By attending the course, you consent to the use of images or footage in which you may appear.

  • If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform the academy before the course begins.

  •  

Age & Fitness to Attend

You must be 16 years or older to attend any course at Gels by Fliss Academy.

 

By enrolling, you confirm that you are:

  • Fit to attend the course

  • Able to participate safely in the practical elements

  • Aware of the course requirements

If you have any medical conditions, injuries, or additional needs that may affect your participation, please inform the academy in advance so reasonable adjustments can be discussed where possible.

 

Studio Behaviour & Respect

  • Gels by Fliss Academy is a professional and welcoming learning environment.

  • All students are expected to treat staff, fellow students, and the studio with respect.

  • Unacceptable behaviour, including but not limited to:

  • Aggressive or disrespectful conduct

  • Disruptive behaviour

Failure to follow health & safety guidance will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the course without refund.

 

Changes to Courses

Gels by Fliss Academy reserves the right to:

  • Make reasonable changes to course content or structure

  • Change course dates or times if necessary

  • Cancel or reschedule a course due to unforeseen circumstances

In the event of a course cancellation by the academy, students will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of any monies paid.

 

Final Notes

These terms and conditions are in place to protect both the academy and its students, and to ensure a safe, fair, and professional learning environment for everyone.​
